The works of renowned Prophet Madzibaba Tyregy Chigadzira has rekindled religious hope in the small town of Chiredzi.

Usually it is rare for one to gain popularity in the small towns but Madzibaba Tyregy born Wilfred Hunana has emerged to be among top recognized religious figures in the country.

His apostolic sect constitute a huge fellowship consisting thousands of congregants in number.

He is the man to reckon for this year’s Easter and Independence holidays as he worked closely with the government in raising COVID-19 awareness campaigns.

” I am glad to say Chiredzi Community has been able to take hid of the calls by the government to observe COVID-19 regulations during the crucial holidays of Easter and Independence which were celebrated this month. As church leaders it is our role to educate our communities on national programmed,” he said.

Madzibaba Tyregy is among the few church leaders to embrace the National Clean up Campaign which was pioneered by President Mnangagwa and COVID-19 Awareness Campaign.

Early this year, he appeared on the national broadcast television ZBC tv leading scores of people during a clean up campaign in Chiredzi town.

The self styled prophet, is also on record for supporting the Climate Smart Agriculture way of farming commonly known as pfumvudza. According to Chigadzira most people in Chiredzi including his congregants benefited to a larger extent from the pfumvudza programme which was introduced by the government.

“We are thankful to our government for introducing the Pfumvudza programme to farmers in Chiredzi. Even our church members have also benefited a lot from programme. We are beginning to see the fruits of Pfumvudza as most people are expecting bumper harvests,” he added.
